Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) Public File Information

Community Reinvestment Act Public File Information

The federal government established the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) in 1977 to encourage banks to meet the credit needs of the communities where they do business, including low- and moderate-income neighborhoods. Banks must also make their CRA files available to the general public through their website and update the files to be current as of April 1 of each year.

At Morris Bank, we are committed to meeting the financial needs of our communities, including all low and moderate income and minority areas within our footprint. We are pleased to provide information for public inspection under the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA). By providing this information online, Morris Bank can keep it current with convenient access.

In compliance with CRA requirements, the following information is maintained and current as of April 1st of each year and may be updated periodically.

Assessment Area(s)

For Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) purposes, an Assessment Area refers to the geographic region in which a financial institution is evaluated to determine how well it is meeting the credit needs of the communities it serves, particularly low- and moderate-income neighborhoods. The area is typically based on the institution's branch locations, but it may also include surrounding areas where the bank has a substantial portion of its lending activity.

In accordance with the CRA, Morris Bank focuses on providing services and making loans that meet the needs of the entire assessment areas served, ensuring access to credit across different communities. A map of each assessment area showing the boundaries of the area and identifying the geographies contained within the area is available below.
